Tata Steel has set an ambitious target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 and aims to leverage the LeadIT platform to gain insights, best practices, and innovative ideas related to sustainable technologies within the steel sector. The company’s Vice President of Technology and R&D, Dr. Debashish Bhattacharjee, highlighted Tata Steel’s adoption of advanced carbon-negative technologies such as Coal Bed Methane (CBM) injection, hydrogen injection in blast furnaces, and the commissioning of a carbon capture plant.
